Court reserves ruling in adultery case

FRANCISTOWN: Retired soldier Aaron Hlabano says he wants Meshack Scotch (39), a medical records assistant at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, to pay him P25,000 for wrecking his marriage.

Instructed by Hlabano, Kagiso Jane of Kgalemang and Associates said his client had found Scotch sleeping with his wife in his (Hlabano's) bedroom at Semotswane Ward in Tonota on February 1, 2010. "I found Scotch on top of my wife making love to her in my matrimonial bedroom," Hlabano said in his evidence.  This was after he allegedly found Scotch's car parked outside his yard as he returned from his cattle post on February 1, 2010.

"When I opened my bedroom door, Scotch was on top of my wife," he told Senior Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu last Friday.  "He immediately jumped and sat beside her in my bed and said, 'Tsatsi jeno o ntshwere tota rra, ke kopa o intswarele go mphithela mo ntong ya gago,' saying those words for some time."The aggrieved husband said he told Scotch that the damage was already done and proceeded to call the police who came and took them to the police station.
