Court rejects CMS duo's bail bid

In a major blow to Sierra Leone national Patrick Cole and his co-accused Clement Molefe, Village chief magistrate Lot Moroka dismissed an application for bail, stating that the duo could flee the country if granted bail.

Cole, a director at USASA construction company, and Molefe, the company's site manager, are charged along with nine others with defrauding Central Medical Stores (CMS) of over P17 million through three fraudulent transactions.

The state alleges that Cole and Molefe were the masterminds in a conspiracy in which P6, 616, 687.85 was paid to USASA Construction and General Trading Company.
