Court in search of stocktheft witness

FRANCISTOWN: The case in which four men are facing stocktheft charges is to resume at the Francistown Magistrate court on May 23 when the prosecution is expected to call a key witness whose whereabouts are still unknown.

State prosecutor Gasemotho Pitlagano of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) dissuaded Mmegi from publishing the name of the witness who is still to be traced, as his whereabouts are still unknown.

The witness featured prominently in the testimony of a Matshelagabedi local police witness, Tawanda Maedza. The Tonota police arrested the four suspects.
