FRANCISTOWN: Justice Moses Chinhengo of the High Court has acquitted a man accused of murder saying there is no evidence to convict him.

Molosi Gaobonwe was cleared of the charge of causing the death of an 80-year-old woman of Mmandunyane village. He was alleged to have caused the death of the deceased by pushing her to the ground when she intervened in a fight between him and the old woman's daughter last year. The daughter is believed to be Gaobonwe's ex-girlfriend.

Chinhengo stated that going by the doctor's evidence, there is no evidence that Gaobonwe's act hastened the death of the deceased. "The deceased died of natural causes.
