Councillors urged to 'go surfing'

The Assistant Minister of Local Government, Lebonaamang Mokalake, has called on councillors to learn skills that will enable them to use websites.

Officially launching the Botswana Association of Local Authorities (BALA) website and new logo, Mokalake said the councillors must be trained in information technology (IT).

He encouraged them to contribute articles and make the website talk to the outside world. He pointed out that the use of information technology is a new trend of reaching out the target to market. It also contributes to efficiency and general effectiveness.
