Councillor Assaulted At Resting Place

FRANCISTOWN: Phillip Matante East councillor, Kealebetse Ntseane, was last Tuesday afternoon assaulted by unknown thugs at a notorious resting spot along Francistown-Maun road.

Ntseane, who allegedly suffered a broken hand is so far the high profile victim to have been assaulted at this resting spot popularly referred to as Ko Setlhareng. He was still hospitalised at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital.

Tatitown police have confirmed that the councillor was assaulted at the resting spot. "Yes, it is true that he was assaulted at around 3pm on Tuesday. He also sustained some injuries from the assault. We had to rush him to hospital to seek medical attention. We are still to interview him about the incident. We can't comment further than that as our investigations are still continuing," disclosed Assistant Superintendent Rodney Nkokwe.
