COSBOTS, irate artists on a collision course?

Recently the Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS) rocked the music industry after issuing a controversial tender to a company owned by its chairperson.

COSBOTS has awarded a company called OnQuest a tender to monitor broadcasters in efforts to collect royalties for musicians and artists much to the fury of musicians who are questioning the legality and legitimacy of the board that took the decision. 

Mmegi's investigations have revealed that the COSBOTS board's term may have expired, indicating that all members currently sitting on the board are doing so illegally.
