Corporations suffer vandalism - police

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Matthews Letsholo, says they are still grappling with vandalism and theft of public property.

Letsholo says that vandalism of infrastructure and theft of cables, mainly from the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC), the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC), Water Utilities Corporation (WUC), and Botswana Railways (BR) 'continue to be a matter of concern'.

Last year, the police warned scrap metal dealers at a press conference, that they should help the law enforcement agencies in their effort to curb vandalism and theft of public infrastructure or their businesses risked closure.
