Cop in court over P3,000 bribe to destroy docket

A 54-year-old police officer facing a charge of accepting a P3,000 bribe from an offender who wanted a docket destroyed, appeared before the Regional Magistrate South Court on Monday.

According to papers before the courts, Alidy Alidy stands accused of accepting a bribe from one Gagoitsewe Thakotona on February 21, 2012.

The officer has pleaded not guilty to the charge and his corruption case will continue on August 31.
