Conservation area promises prosperity

The KAZA-Kavango-Zambezi Trans-frontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) project will help forge regional integration in southern Africa.

German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dirk Niebel, said in Kasane last week that the five members of the KAZA: Botswana, Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia have created an enabling environment for regional integration by cooperating to protect their natural resources.

"In Europe we have learned by experience that it is only since we have had European integration with ever closer cooperation among European countries that our continent has found peace, stability and prosperity," he said at the official opening of the KAZA offices.
