Compromise meeting degenerates into shouting match

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Women's Wing special meeting held in Mahalapye to finalise the organ's compromise list ahead of the Nata Congress reportedly degenerated into a shouting match last Friday.

Reports indicate that it was all "fireworks" at the BDP meeting, which was informed by the recommendations of the party's two past National Council meetings.

The Mahalapye meeting was held in line with the party's norm of shying away from elections that often divide the party.
