Community involvement in crime fight vital

Community involvement in the fight against crime is an essential tool for achieving the vision pillar of a Safe and Secure Nation by 2016.

Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) deputy executive director Norman Moleele said this when addressing a business community workshop in Mogoditshane on Wednesday.

He said the police were trying hard to curb crime but they could only achieve much with community involvement.
