Committed Teachers Give Up Vacation

While many teachers are disgruntled over their working conditions, there are those who are still sufficiently passionate about their jobs to work during school vacations without any extra pay, the Monitor found in a snap jaunt to schools in Gaborone.

Their basic concern is the students, and seeing their students excel in final examinations is their prime motivation.

While many teachers are resting at their homes or concentrating on other interests, these exceptional ones are taking their 'charges' in remedial lessons to catch up with the syllabus.
