CMS fraud rises to P20 million

The additional charge states that the 11 suspects in the corruption case defrauded the government of nearly P3.5 million by falsely pretending that a pharmaceutical company had sold and delivered drugs to CMS.

A Gaborone court was puzzled by the sudden arrival of one of the suspects, Jabulani Johnson, who was said to be under arrest in South African authorities over an undisclosed criminal offence.

One of the prosecutors, Priscilla Israel told the court that Johnson defied his bail condition and skipped to South Africa using false names. She said they started the extradition process, which is not complete and she is surprised to see the suspect in court.
