Clinic Dump Might Have Had HIV

JWANENG: Preliminary tests have shown that the blood that fell into the hands of Jwaneng pupils in November last year could have had the HIV virus that causes AIDS.

A Jwaneng clinic doctor has told a special council meeting that the blood specimen found in the punctured plastic bags had blood specimen that was HIV infected.The children at Mogale Ward in Unit 5 in Jwaneng found  an abandoned cooler box with syringes and blood, which they started playing with, injecting each other. 

This happened on 3 November last year. Only recently did town clerk, Loeto Dilampi, and his deputy, Mpho Mathe, convene a special meeting to brief the politicians about the preliminary tests. Mayor, Christopher Ramolemane attended.
