Churches Vow To Fight HIV/AIDS In Selebi-Phikwe

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Churches in Selebi-Phikwe have vowed to tackle the HIV/AIDS scourge that has hit the mining town.

Speaking to Mmegi in an interview, Selebi-Phikwe Churches Committee Chairperson, Pastor Rickson Teemane said the only way to win the battle against the scourge is to change people's behaviour.

He explained that September has been set aside as the month of prayer. He mentioned that they have divided Selebi-Phikwe into four areas being Botshabelo, Ikageleng, Town Centre and Western area and pastors in these areas would conduct prayers each day.
