Church leaders blame President and cabinet

Church leaders yesterday made a damning verdict on the Head of State and his cabinet as the main stumbling block to finding a solution to the ongoing strike that is in its eighth week.

Briefing the media, the church leaders, who have been trying to mediate in the impasse, stated that the government negotiating team has shown commitment to solving the strike and even promising that it was ending last Sunday.

The leaders, led by Reverend Mpho Moruakgomo said the government negotiating team comprising of Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration Mokgweetsi Masisi, PS to the President Eric Molale, director of Directorate of Public Service Management Festinah Bakwena and others have shown commitment to ending the strike, but cabinet seems to be a stumbling block whenever there is hope for solution. Also in the negotiation team is former president Sir Ketumile Masire.
