Chiluba acquittal sparks controversy

NDOLA: The acquittal of Zambia's second president Frederick Chiluba has raised several questions regarding the administration of justice and governance. Chiluba has been acquitted on all counts of theft by public servant involving US $ 500, 000.

On the other hand, the court convicted and jailed those who were separately charged with Chiluba - Faustin Kabwe and Aaron Chungu. These two were in the private sector at the time they are alleged to have stolen public funds.
