Change attitude to curb road carnage - MVAF chief

Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (MVAF) chief executive officer (CEO) Cross Kgosidiile has called for change of attitudes on "our roads if the country wishes to attain its Vision 2016 of a safe and secure nation".

"We can educate both at driving schools and in campaigns like this one but it is important that people change their behaviour on roads. Speed limits are not obeyed and road signs continue to be ignored, as some motorists run through red robots," he said.Kgosidiile said that while driving schools should strive to produce competent drivers, it was crucial that individual drivers behave responsibly to curb the road carnage.
