Chairman of BDP youth resigns

Embattled National Chairman of the youth wing of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), Kenaleone Motsaathebe, has resigned from his position and has been replaced by Armstrong Dikgafela.

A press statement issued by the Information Officer of the BDP Youth League, Ruth Kedikilwe, says Motsaathebe resigned at a meeting of the organisation's Executive Committee last Thursday

"This was done in accordance with Article 16:10 of the Party Constitution," the statement says. "Fana Pema was then co-opted to the position of National Political Officer left vacant by Dikgafela's election to the National Chairmanship of the Youth Wing."
