Cellphones: The new threat to marriages

The cellphone has been cited as one of the most common causes of conflicts and breakdowns in marriages.

Gaborone District Commissioner (DC), Fraser Tlhoiwe, said recently that couples come to his office in the mistaken belief that DCs can dissolve marriages and the cellphone is usually the cause of conflict.

Other causes include infidelity, spouses spending nights away from home with no explanation, failure to maintain a family, excess materialism that drags the family into debts, interference from parents and denial of conjugal rights.
