FRANCISTOWN: The Tuesday workshop whose purpose was to find new directions in the fight against HIV/AIDS heard experts deliver papers on the "latest fashionable strategy", male circumcision or 'MC', as it was referred to during discussions.

Actually, it was during a presentation by Dr Poloko Kebaabetswe on male circumcision as the solution to the AIDS epidemic when participants could not help giggling and exchanging furtive and shy glances.

Dr Keabetswe, like other resource persons, used graphic examples to drive her point home. She showed why a circumcised penis would not retain the virus unlike the sheathed one.
