Business Botswana calls for reforms at HLCC

The Business Botswana chairperson, Lekwalo Mosienyane, criticised the council at the opening of its meeting last week.
“It is in the interest of all of us to ensure that the HLCC meetings have a laser-like focus on creating the best environment for growth of the private sector,” he said. “I have noted that parties to the HLCC are concerned about the effectiveness of the HLCC.”
With both sides entrenched in legal battles and public spats, the risk to public health, trust in institutions, and the welfare of doctors grows by the day. It's time for cooler heads to prevail.
