BTO on alert after plane crashes

BTO spokesperson Keitumetse Setlang has said the two incidents might have generated negative publicity about Botswana tourism. She said BTO and the tourism sector operators are on full alert and are monitoring the situation.

"We are in constant contact with a wide global trade network and we are observing whether the tourism industry has taken a hit," she said. Setlang said that initial indications are that there have been no major disturbances in the industry.
