BSD silent on suspension of corrupt boss

The Botswana Society for the Deaf (BSD) has suspended its executive director, Orapeleng Mokgosi indefinitely last Friday. This comes a week after Mokgosi appeared before the South Regional Magistrate’s court charged with corruption.

However, the organisation has resolved not to speak to the media on the court case.

Although the members of the BSD board differed on the matter, Mmegi learnt that they reached a consensus to suspend her, after majority felt that the issue would tarnish the name of the society and their sponsors might be discouraged to continue funding them if action was not taken.
