The brand new Air Botswana ATR 72-600 plane was this morning grounded at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (SSKIA) in Gaborone due to technical faults, Mmegi has learnt.

Passengers who were supposed to travel this morning at 8am on the BP-034 flight to Maun using the brand new aircraft with registration number A2-ABK codenamed Tsodilo said that they were told that the flight is “postponed indefinitely due to aircraft technical faults”.

The grounding of the aircraft has caused major travel interruptions to Air Botswana passengers as many are stuck at airports with no alternative plan and plane.
