Brace yourself for another splash of rain

The Department of Meteorological Services has predicted good rains for the next three months.

The acting director of the department, Kevin Gobagoba, yesterday announced that the northern parts of the country, being Ngamiland, Chobe and northern parts of the Central districts will have normal to above normal rains from this month to March.  The south western parts of the country being Kgalagadi, Gantsi, and western parts of the Southern districts are also expected to receive normal to above normal rains.

However, the eastern parts of the country, being Southeast, Kgatleng, eastern parts of Kweneng, eastern parts of Southern, Northeast and southern parts of the Central districts will have normal to little rains during this last lap of the rainy season.  Meanwhile, a report from the department indicates that moderate to heavy rains were recorded in Kweneng and Central districts in mid-October last year.
