BPSC gets new head

Golekanye Setume, the National AIDS Coordinating Agency (NACA) deputy head has been appointed the new executive director of the - BPSC - Botswana Public Service College (formerly Botswana Institute of Administration and Commerce).

He starts work at his new station on April 1. The position was allegedly rejected by Tickey Pule, who was being transferred from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs where she was permanent secretary. The BPSC management structure has been reportedly upgraded, with the head's position of executive director moved to F1 salary scale.

Setume was a senior education officer at various stations before he was promoted to deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Education, where he was caretaker for the department of student placement and welfare. He was redeployed to NACA last year with other deputy permanent secretaries of the ministry including permanent secretary, Ruth Maphorisa, who was transferred to the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Culture.
