BPP's veteran Phodiephatshwa dies

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Veteran Botswana People's Party (BPP) member, Petrus Phodiephatshwa passed away on Wednesday at Nyangabgwe hospital in Francistown.

The 80-year-old long serving BPP member had been not well for some time. A family member said funeral arrangements had not been finalised but his body was expected to be transferred to Selebi-Phikwe last night.

Born in Tonota in 1929, Phodiephatshwa joined the 'people's party' in 1950 and knew no other political home until his death.
