BPP/BNF meet to determine BNF support offer

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Peoples' Party (BPP) has not met to discuss whether to agree to the offer for support from the Botswana National Front (BNF) in the Makaleng ward by-election.

The BNF is reported to have said it will not field a candidate at Makaleng ward in order to support the BPP contestant.

The BPP secretary general, Edward Mpoloka, said it will take time before they meet to discuss the offer. He said in light of a resolution passed at the special party conference last year, they should not enter into any electoral co-operation before the general elections.
