BPP takes dismal loss of Monarch West in stride

FRANCISTOWN: Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) have blamed their dismal loss of Monarch West by-election on several factors including lack of funds, resistance to change by voters, the fact that their candidate, Peter Thabani was unknown to Monarch residents and other issues.

BPP came last at the by-election that was held last weekend in Francistown at 107 votes out of a total 724 votes.

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) garnered 364 votes followed by Botswana Congress Party (BCP) at 250 votes.
