BPP holds annual conference

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Peoples Party (BPP) will this weekend hold its annual conference in Francistown to update members about the progress of the Umbrella.

BPP, along with the Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) and the Botswana National Front (BNF), forms the Umbrella.

Usually the BPP holds its conference in July but its leadership conference last year in Nlapkhwane decided on an early conference this year, BPP national chairman, Richard Gudu said.  "Actually we should have held the conference in May but we could not because, as you know, we have been busy with the Umbrella talks," he said.
