Biggie Butale has explained that his decision to leave the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) was due to his unpleasant experience within the party. Despite this, Butale expressed that there is no enmity with the BPF's patron and former president of Botswana, Ian Khama.

"My decision to leave the BPF was based on my personal experience within the party, and it is not a reflection of any ill will towards Ian Khama.

I have the utmost respect for him, and I believe that our relationship remains positive despite my departure," said Butale. Speaking at the media briefing, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the treatment he received while with the BPF, citing it as the primary reason for him to leave the party. In his own words, Butale expressed his sentiments regarding his departure from BPF.
