An 18-year-old boy of Maaloso ward in Dibete who allegedly stabbed a 23-year-old man to death with a sharp object on Friday night has been charged with murder.
Confirming to be investigating the matter, Dibete police station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the incident occurred near a local bar in Dibete village where the duo were entertaining themselves on that fateful night.
"The duo are both residents of the same ward. They allegedly got into a misunderstanding that lead to a fight and the accused ended up stabbing the victim with a sharp object. The deceased was rushed to Mahalapye hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctors. The cause of the quarrel is not yet known," Ranku said. Ranku said the teenage boy has already appeared before Mahalapye Magistrates Court and is facing a single count of murder.
