BotswanaPost hikes tariffs

Botswana Post has hiked tariffs across their wide range of services that include postage, but authorities there have described the increase as modest.

The new BotswanaPost tariffs adjustment became effective on April 1, 2012. The adjustment covers all postal products, including the letter, says Lebogang Bok, BotswanaPost Head of Communications during an interview with The Monitor on Friday.

The standard letter will be increased from P2.60 to P3.20. Bok also said  that new technologies have made things worse, especially for personal letters. She said the postal letters have been going down by more than 10 percent a year.
