Botswana-Zim teams confer

The 10th session of the Botswana-Zimbabwe Joint Commission for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation started in Gaborone yesterday.

The commission met at senior officials level while today and tomorrow the two parties will meet at ministerial level.

Issues on the table include trade and industry, meteorological services, agriculture, immigration, environment, and tourism. Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Lt. Gen Mompati Merafhe is leading the Botswana delegation whilst Zimbabwe Foreign Affairs Minister S.S. Mumbengegwi is heading the Harare team.
The visitors will this evening (Aug 22) attend a dinner hosted for them by Minister Merafhe at Boipuso Hall.
