Botswana wants gradual steps to African government

ADDIS ABABA: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Phandu Skelemani, says Botswana will not support any move towards the immediate formation of a united African government.

Skelemani, speaking on the sidelines of the current African Union Executive Council, said that the idea of an African government is too farfetched and unrealistic.

"That we support the idea of an African government is not in doubt, but we differ when it comes to the modalities and ways to get there.
