Botswana third worst performer in Science

Botswana continues to be one of the least performing countries in Maths and Science internationally, the just-released Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2015 suggest.

The study, by the International Standard Classification of Education, presented by the Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) yesterday, shows Botswana is the fifth lowest country in Mathematics achievement, while in Science performance, the country is third from bottom after Saudi Arabia and Morocco respectively. 

About 57 countries participated in the study, and East Asian countries were the highest performing in both Mathematics and Science.
