Botswana team at UN climate meet

Botswana has sent eight representatives to the 14th UN Climate Change Conference that started yesterday in Poznan, Poland. The conference ends on December 12.

Botswana is a signatory to the climate change treaty and the Kyoto Protocol, which prescribes targets and modalities for the implementation of the Climate Change Convention - UNFCCC.

Under the UNFCCC and the Kyoto Protocol, developed countries have to reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases.
