Botswana Society hosts water Pitso

The Botswana Society has organised a public forum to discuss the future of the water situation in Botswana. The event will be held today evening at Kolobeng College in Gaborone.

The organisation has said that in its 2012 report, the World Economic Forum has identified water-food-energy security as one of the world's greatest threats, behind global market upheavals and the illegal economy (corruption, drug trafficking, etc). A global water shortage in the near future is a likely prospect.  

If predictions are correct, Botswana will likely be among the first nations to feel the water crunch, says the Botswana Society in a press release.
