The Commissioner of Police Thebeyame Tsimako said yesterday that they have gathered to review their work and plan the way forward for better service delivery to the community.  "We shall use this conference to interrogate our strategic initiatives with a view to identifying gaps in our performance and finding appropriate remedies," Tsimako told the police senior officers' conference. He said that again this is the time when they assess officers who did not perform well and address them accordingly.

He said that this annual conference give the Botswana Police Services an opportunity to review law enforcement strategies and to assess the extent of implementation of the previous conference resolutions.  He said that for the record they have managed to significantly reduce violent and intrusive crime by over 21% in the past year.
