Botswana media favours the elite - report

The 2009 report of the Africa Media Barometer (AMB) has said the media in Botswana is skewed in favour of the elite.

It faults the media for failing to give other sections of society, especially those in the lower social stratum, enough coverage.

It singles out the government media for concentrating on the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) and the private media for focusing too much on opposition parties.
