A Botswana Congress Party (BCP) activist, Babedi Monangeng, has assured voters that there will be no civil strife when an opposition party takes over power.

Speaking at the launch of the BCP parliamentary candidate for Gaborone West North, Anna Motlhagodi, at Block 8 on Sunday, Monageng said the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) claims opposition parties could cause anarchy when they take over power. 

Monageng, who is the BCP council candidate for Block 8, said they will not fight with anyone when they take over power. "Whom would we fight against because we have taken power? Why should we be fighting when we have won?" he queried.
