Botswana headed for point of no return?

Adequate alarm has been raised about the likelihood of a near military type dictatorship in what the Zambians would have dubbed 'the Fourth Republic', implying rule under the fourth president of the country.

Much of that reductionist speculation arises from the foregone conclusion that it will be Ian Khama who will inherit the presidency, following which he shall administer it in accordance with military practice; largely relying on brawn before brain.

It is proposed here that this perception is not too far from the likely probability. It is also proposed that more thought should be given to the prospect of this type of 'fourth republic' so that the country can either prevent it from happening or encourage it to occur as portended.
