Botswana halfhearted about the KAZA UNIVISA

KAZUNGULA: Although Botswana is open to using the national identity card/Omang as a travel document in SADC, the government is still halfhearted about adopting the KAZA UNIVISA.

The KAZA UNIVISA is aimed at facilitating easy movement of tourists between Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA). KAZA TFCA is a conservation area, spanning five Southern African countries; Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, centred on the Caprivi-Chobe-Victoria Falls area.

KAZA UNIVISA on the other side is a pilot project between Zambia and Zimbabwe and was established on November 28, 2014. With the implementation of the KAZA UNIVISA tourists no longer have to apply for multiple visas, thus saving time and money and opening the doors to the free movement of tourists visiting the African wonderland.
