Botswana Editors forum elects new committee

Following the resignation of Spencer Mogapi from the Sunday Standard and subsequently from the chairmanship of the Editors Forum, a new committee was voted in this afternoon.

The new committee will now be headed by the former treasurer, Editor in Chief of The Voice Newspaper, Emang Bokhutlo-Mutapati .

She will be deputised by Former Botswana Gazette Editor, Lawrence Seretse whilst the

Secretary General is Keikantse Shumba of the Argus Online.


Deputy Secretary General is Sello Motseta whilst the Treasurer position was scooped by The Monitor Editor, Maureen Odubeng.

Additional members, are Jeannie Olesitse-Mogotsi of Yarona FM and Justice Kavahematui, Editor of the Botswana Guardian.

In her acceptance speech, Bokhutlo-Mutapati, who was electee unopposed, thanked members for entrusting her leading the Forum. She further pleaded with members to continue volunteering for the movement for the betterment of the media industry.
