Botshabelo residents in tears as D-Day nears

The area where Botshabelo ward residents are relocating to facilitate the expansion of Maun Airport is no biblical Canaan - a land overflowing with milk and honey.

But protests against their relocation - from their present place to Disaneng Block 1, a bush with no social amenities - have fallen on deaf ears.

It is against this backdrop that tears are flowing as more than 1, 000 families face an ultimatum of less than six-months to quit the area or face the wrath of the dreaded "yellow monster" (the bulldozer).
