Towards the end of his presidency, Sir Ketumile Masire was so physically exhausted that he would appear 'to be sleepy while conducting a meeting' and he was so mentally brittle that he showed signs of 'indecisiveness.'

This is perhaps one of the most startling fly-on-the-wall accounts in "Unearthing The Hidden Treasure: The Biography of Gobe Matenge" about Masire. The other is that Masire bears 'lifelong grudges against people he did not like'.
