Botswana National Front Youth league (BNFYL) has released the people's proposed lobby list ahead of the organisation's next congress that is scheduled for May 31 to June 2 in Thamaga.

Incumbent vice president Tona Selala says it is expected that some people will retain their positions at the elective congress.Speaking to Mmegi yesterday, Selala explained that some people on the proposed lobby list are new while others are not. BNFYL's incumbent Secretary General Arafat Khan of Molepolole North and neophyte Maokaneng Bontshetse of Tonota South are on the list.

Selala says though Maokaneng has never held a leadership position, he has a wealth of experience from other activities.  A former member of the national executive committee of Botswana Football Association, Maokaneng is vying for the committee for international affairs.Khan is defending his post of secretary general while the current vice president Selala wants to become BNFYL president. Others on the proposed lobby list include Kagiso Tlhutwe for vice president, Kedibonye Batlang for treasurer, Sticks Nthibo for publicity, Marang Orora for gender affairs, and Joram Matomela for legal affairs. The proposed lobby list is reported to be in support of BNF President Duma Boko retaining the presidency of the BNF and the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC).
