THAMAGA: Botswana National Front (BNF) leader, Gideon Duma Boko has warned that the swelling unemployment ranks is a recipe for civil disorder.

He said at the BNF Youth League congress in Thamaga over the weekend that the increasing rate of joblessness should be contained as a matter of urgency to avoid disaster. He blamed the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) for worsening youth unemployment.

"Our country compounds the problem of youth unemployment by retaining and continually recycling retired and expired former public employees and blocking any prospects and opportunities for young people to join the ranks of employment," Boko said. He added that young people have  little or no access to meaningful investable resources and support.
